End of Summer PHOTO CONTEST

1. CONTEST PERIOD

   Contest begins Monday, August 26th, 2024 at 12:00 am CST and ends on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at 12:00 pm CST (the “Contest Period”).

2. ELIGIBILITY
   Contest is open to residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees, and committee members of Beaches of 59 (“Sponsor”).

3. HOW TO ENTER
   Eligible residents should email photo(s) to info@beachesof59.ca during the “Contest Period”.

   Entries are to be a digital photo and the location the photo was taken must be in the Beaches of 59 (Brokenhead to Victoria Beach). Please state the location in your email.

   Only the owner of the photograph can enter it in this contest and any people in the photo must give the owner permission to enter it and agree to the photo consent below. If the owner of the photograph is NOT the photographer, they must receive permission also from the photographer and the photographer must also agree to the photo consent below.

   Photographs entered must not have been previously published. It must have never been exhibited publicly outside this Contest.

   Acceptable formats are .heic, .tiff, .jpg, or .png.

   Entrants can only enter a maximum of 3 photos each. By entering more than 3 photos you will be disqualified to win the prizes.

   Photos are recommended to be between 900 KM to 4,000 KB, if taken with a professional camera in high resolution or raw please reduce image file size and save as JPEG before sending!

   No purchase necessary.

4. PHOTO CONSENT

   Upon entering these photo(s), I give my permission to the organization known as Beaches of 59 and their committee members, brand ambassadors, influencers, summer students, or staff) to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit, or otherwise use them for any marketing purpose (print, social media, website, and all other forms of media). I understand that I will not be paid for these photographs and have no rights to them. I am participating as a volunteer. I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photograph or advertising copy or printed matter that may be used in conjunction therewith or to the eventual use that it might be applied. I also hereby release Beaches of 59 and its agents and employees from all claims, demands, and liabilities whatsoever in connection with the above.

5. THE PRIZE

   There will be 2 prizes to be won for all 4 categories listed above. The prize consists of a Stay and Play prize package provided by South Beach Casino & Resort. The prize must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions.

6. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

   The Beaches of 59 Committee/staff will review all of the photos and each committee member will vote for their favourite three photos and assign 3 votes to their top choice, 2 to their second and 1 to their third choice. There are 9 committee members/staff so a maximum of 27 votes should all vote for the same photo as their favourite. The top two photos with the most votes will win the prize. The winners will be notified by email and must pick up their prize within 30 days or the prize will be forfeited. The winning photos will be posted on Beaches of 59 website and social media.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS

   By entering the Contest, each Entrant consents to the Sponsor storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted by the Entrant for the purpose of administering the Contest. The Contest Winner agrees to the publication of their name, and Province of residence without further notice or compensation.
